So we put this right at the heart of the international launch of the Golf 7: The Golf is the result of everything the entire Volkswagen group knows about people and car drivers, amassed over decades. And that’s a lot. To that effect, the motto of the multimedia campaign was: You need to know people to build Das Auto. And only someone who can write a song like ‘People are People’, such as Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan, is granted the privilege of writing the soundtrack to our TV ad.
